1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account and contact information — company name, domain, admin name, email, and phone number submitted during registration.
- Customer Data — identity, account, and access records that you import or that the Service syncs from your connected HR systems and third-party applications, so we can perform onboarding, offboarding, and access reviews on your behalf.
- Usage and log data — actions taken within the Service, sync activity, and audit log entries generated as you use the platform, so changes to access remain traceable.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including provisioning and deprovisioning access across your connected applications;
- Review and activate new account registrations;
- Communicate with you about your account, security notices, or support requests;
- Maintain audit logs required for access governance and compliance reviews;
- Process subscription billing through our payment processor, Razorpay.
3. Third-Party Integrations
When you connect a third-party application (such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Asana, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors), Akantik IAM accesses that application's API using credentials you authorize, solely to perform the identity and access management functions you configure. We do not sell Customer Data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Cookies and Tracking
The Service uses a session cookie that is strictly necessary to keep you signed in. On our public marketing pages, we also use a first-party, anonymous identifier (stored in your browser's local storage, not a tracking cookie) to measure page views and which links or buttons are clicked, so we can understand what's working and fix what isn't. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or account, and no data is sold or shared with third-party advertising or analytics networks — we do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar third-party trackers.
5. Data Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest for stored credentials and access tokens, and role-based access control within the Service to limit who can view or modify data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we continue to invest in strengthening these protections.
6. Data Retention
We retain Customer Data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, including audit log retention periods configured under your subscription plan. When an account is closed, we delete or anonymize Customer Data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you or your organization by contacting us at ai@akantik.com. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by working professionals and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify account administrators.
